Twist to Exist

7- 20 Feb 2014 / Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina /
I will be participating in the exhibition ‘Twit to Exist’ in the context of ‘Sarajevo Winter Festival 2014‘.
My participation entails the presentation of my work, giving a workshop and, as aimed by the curatorial concept, engaging with the context and locals. Continuing my research on how images printed in common household products inform about people and places, I will install an ‘office’ to work on a series of drawings departing from the graphic matter collected and exchanged during my visit. What are the effects of removing images from their original context? What insight can they give on Sarajevo’s identity and socio-economic changes? To delve into these issues and spark discussions I will instigate the swap of my drawings.
